How to Get to the Hotel
Castelmar Hotel is located at Rua Felipe Schmidt, 1260, Downtown Florianópolis.
To get to the hotel from the airport:
- by car: see Map
- by taxi: you may take a taxi just outside the airport's main lobby. It is going to cost between 25 and 50 reais.
- by uber: search "Aeroporto Internacional Hercílio Luz, Florianópolis" or the address "Av. Dep. Diomício Freitas, 3900". It is going to cost between 20 and 30 reais.
- by bus (public transportation): turn right outside the airport's main lobby, the bus stop will be at the end of the street where taxis are parked. Take the line "Corredor Sudoeste", it is the only one that serves that stop. It is going to cost 4,40 reais. The trip might be quite long (over an hour), depending on traffic conditions. This bus line will take you to TICEN (see below).
To get to the hotel from the bus station (Terminal Rodoviário Rita Maria):
- by car or on foot: see Map
- by taxi: you may take a taxi just outside the station's main lobby. It is going to cost about 10 reais
- by uber: search "Terminal Rodoviário Rita Maria". It is going to cost between 7 and 8 reais.
To get to the hotel from TICEN, the central public transit terminal:
- by foot: see Map
(it is difficult to make taxis and ubers stop by the terminal, as it is an area of dense traffic).
- by bus: you may take the line "Circular Centro". It departs from Platform A. The trips takes between 25 and 45 minutes, depending on traffic conditions, and it costs 4,40 reais. Pay attention to the timetable (from monday to friday, the line does not operate on weekends):

Attention:
Even though Florianópolis is a relatively safe and peaceful city, you should beware of pickpockets and robbers in the downtown area (particularly after dark). Besides, it is not difficult to get lost in the streets of the area. So, upon arrival in the city, it is advisable to take a taxi or uber.
